You write, "Women’s labor...has always been treated as a resource whose exhaustion is simply the cost of production" - I am feeling that a lot these days, that our mental and physical labor is expected to be given freely. Struggling to try to escape that narrative but it's woven so deeply into the cloth that makes up the entire world.

Simple connections, before I read this wonderful essay, I felt compelled to make a batch of dough for fresh bread. Now I think I'll add a little extra loaf for my altar for tomorrow's gathering. I'm looking forward to sharing this ritual with you all.
